Mathai George George Muthoot is an Indian entrepreneur and Businessman. He is also the Chairman of the Muthoot Group,[1] one of India's biggest business houses and the Lay trustee of the Indian Orthodox Church.[2] He was born to M George Muthoot, the founder chairman of the Muthoot Group. He is the third son of M George Muthoot.

Muthoot became the Chairman of the Muthoot Group, in February 1993. Under his stewardship the business conglomerate grew exponentially, and is now a conglomerate with an annual turnover of Rs.14,500 crores (145 Billion)[3] as of May 2009, and with varied interests in sectors such as plantations, media, hospitality, healthcare, education, power generation and foreign exchange. He is also a member of the executive committee of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the Chairman of the FICCI Kerala State Council. He was awarded the Mahatma Gandhi National Award by the Mahatma Gandhi National Foundation in 2001 for his contributions to the Indian Industry. In 2008 he was awarded the 8th Marthoma Mathews Memorial Award for his contributions to the society and exceptional social services.M G George Muthoot was ranked 50th with $1.10 bn in the list of Indian billionaire by Forbes October 2011.
